We began our year with a report on the Conference. As two of our members were presenters those unable to attend were able to hear something first hand.
The chapter is looking at making a number of changes this year. After many years of meeting in the evening, we trialled a daytime meeting which was very well attended. This has encouraged us to stay with the Tuesday morning time slot. We are also aiming to make our meeting times more formal. There has been no lack of fruitful conversation in the past, but for the foreseeable future we aim to make the meetings more focused either by inviting a guest speaker or by setting a specific topic beforehand. A membership drive is also on the cards.
Meeting times are from 10-12am on the first Tuesday of June and October. On the first Tuesday in August we will make our yearly pilgrimage to the north coast and in December we will meet in the evening of the first Tuesday for our Christmas celebration.
Our meetings begin with liturgy led by a member of the chapter. Often our discussion is based around a particular topic or paper and we conclude with news from our various parishes and other liturgical experiences.
The Queensland Chapter welcomes guests and new members.
